"Orange is the New Black" star Taryn Manning, who plays the role of Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett, recently opened up about the upcoming fourth installment of the Netflix series. Just recently, Netflix released all of the episodes of "Orange is the New Black" Season 3. A few days later, the network confirmed that the series has been renewed for another season.
Actress Uzo Abuda, who plays the role of Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren, confirmed the report and said, "Season four is now the new news."
Meanwhile, in an interview with HNGN, Manning revealed that she and the other stars don't really know anything about the upcoming fourth season.
"They're so private about the show that they won't even tell us exactly when we start shooting. The whole thing is on lockdown. Secrecy is a pretty big rule. We don't see scripts in advance and won't until we start shooting," she said.
Still, Manning couldn't deny the fact that the writing and the story of "Orange is the New Black" seems to get better and better with every season.
"I can't spoil anything! To me, the writing keeps getting better and the characters are being fleshed out and developed. People will come and go, but that's jail - it's ever-changing," she explained.
Meanwhile, there have been some rumors suggesting that the filming for the fourth installment has already commenced at the Rockland's Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg, New York City. According to Lohud, some of the scenes that will be part of Season 4 will be filmed in the abandoned location, which will be transformed to become the fictional prison called Litchfield Penitentiary.
In other news, some of the songs that were featured in the first three seasons may also be featured in Season 4, according to "OITNB" music composer Gwendolyn Sanford.
"Orange is the New Black" Season 4 will be released on Netflix next year.
