Microsoft says that "Halo 5: Guardians" will have a new massive-multiplayer gaming mode after the company presented videos during last week's E3 event in Los Angeles. Comingsoon reports that in "Halo 5: Guardians," players will get to continue the story of Master Chief. However, there's a new character in the game as well: Spartan Locke.
In "Halo 5: Guardians," the open-world was described as "chaotic and shattered," and Master Chief was reportedly missing while Spartan Locke was tasked to hunt him down and at the same time solve the mystery that continues to threaten the galaxy.
According to Providence Journal, the "Halo 5: Guardians" new Warzone mode offers a number of advantages for players since it has a lengthy playtime, an increased player count and a vast sprawling map. The game reportedly has a single player mode, which offers players other options as opposed to the standard objective-based multiplayer bout.
The "moment-to-moment" combat in the game is said to be quicker but there were reported intermittent pauses in the game while players cros the map. To speed up the pace, players can reportedly spend Requisition Points, which will unlock some gears and vehicles.
"Halo 5: Guardians" new massive-scale multiplayer mode supports 24-player battles. The game is slated for release on October 27, 2015 and will be available exclusively on Xbox One.
