Korean-based mobile company Samsung is set to unveil a new tablet this year, which is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, Master Herald reported on Wednesday. Samsung claims that the soon-to-be-released device will have innovative multimedia features.
As noted by Master Herald, the rumored Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will offer high quality photos since it will have an 8 MP back camera and 2.1 MP front camera. The Samsung tablet will be powered by a quad core processor and 3 GB of Random Access Memory (RAM), which will give users enough speed for multimedia browsing.
Meanwhile, Techradar says that the rumored Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will be a slimmer device compared to the Apple iPad. The device will have a sleek look and a metal frame similar to Samsung S6 phones. According to the same report, Samsung will likely publicly announce the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 with both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+ LTE versions, which will be showcased at launch.
According to the same report, a leaked photo of the rumored Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 has revealed a 9.7-inch version with a dimension of 237.17 x 169.58 x 5.5 mm. The report noted that the said dimensions mean the device is slimmer than Apple's iPad Air 2.
Meanwhile, another rumor states that Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will also have an eight-inch version measuring 237.1 x 168.8 x 5.4 mm and weighing 407g. Both Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 versions, which according to industry experts could be a close rival of Apple Air iPad 2, will reportedly be priced $489 and $619, respectively.
