"American Horror Story" wrapped up its Season 4 earlier this year, and now a lot of details about Season 5, which will start in October, have come up. Jessica Lange made her exit as Elsa Mars in Season 4 Freak Show finale, and she is reportedly set to be replaced by singer Lady Gaga in Hotel in the next season. However, Lange apparently is doubtful of Gaga's talents and capability of replacing her in the series, as she has expressed recently in an interview.
In her interview with Daily Beast, Lange was asked about Gaga replacing her in the TV series, to which the actress replied, "I have no idea if (Gaga's) an actor or not." She said that she has no idea about the show's next season but said that she's sure "everything will work out" because Gaga will be backed up with a good script and great actors to work with, which according to her is "a good start."
The actress was also asked about her possible return to the series, and she replied that she's open to make a cameo if the show's creator Ryan Murphy wants her to.
Speaking of Ryan Murphy, the creator has recently revealed that "American Horror Story: Hotel" will be "pure horror." In an interview with Deadline, Murphy said that the show's theme is inspired by "several real-live hotels in downtown L.A. where absolutely horrifying things happened."
In addition, Murphy slammed rumors that Lady Gaga will be singing in the show and said that the singer will have a "pure acting part instead."
"People keep saying to me: 'What numbers are they singing, what numbers are they singing,' and I say there will be no numbers. I think people expect that she's (Gaga) going to be sitting in a bar in a white silk gown sort of singing songs. She is not," Murphy said.
The start date of "American Horror Story: Hotel" Season 5 is set in October. According to International Business Times, the confirmed cast members so far are Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lady Gaga, Angela Bassett, Matt Bomer, Finn Wittrock and Max Greenfield.
