It won't be long before "Walking Dead" Season 6 hits the small screen, and now various speculations about the show's plot next season abound, including that of Wolves invasion and ex-military characters featuring in the show. These speculations are supposedly based on recent casting calls for the TV series.
According to Project Casting, "Walking Dead" casting calls for Season 6 include "clean cut military types that are 33 to 55 years old" as well as men in their mid-20s to 40s with experience in firearms.
Design & Trend reports that these casting calls possibly signify an armed conflict in the show next season. This reportedly will have to do with the imminent threat from Wolves, which was previously reported, or they could also have something to do with the Saviors and residents of Hilltop Colony, which were supposedly featured in the comic book.
Last month, Design & Trend has discussed the possibility of a Wolves invasion in Season 6, as various photos of Alexandria "in a state of obvious despair" have surfaced. More recently, it was hinted in a separate report that some of the Wolves that supposedly attacked Alexandria may have survived and therefore will continue to be a threat in the TV series next season.
While none of the reports have been officially confirmed yet, fans are reportedly looking forward to the Saviors finally making an appearance in the show. This is because the group's leader Negan is expected to become one of Rick's greatest opponents yet. So far, various actors have been speculated to play the role including Henry Rollins, Ron Perlman, Jon Hamm, Kevin Durand and Christopher Meloni.
"Walking Dead" Season 6 start date is set for October this year.
