'Nashville' Season 4 Spoilers & Cast: Eric Close Confirmed To Be Removed As Regular; Will Massey Return to the Show?

ABC's "Nashville" has been confirmed for Season 4 and fans are now anticipating its premiere this September. After the season finale of Season 3, fans are now intrigued and excited about the premiere episode of the new season.

In the previous season, Will Lexington (Chris Carmack) finally revealed his true sexuality and declared his love for Kevin Bicks (Kyle Dean Massey). Fans are now wondering if the two will finally be together.

According to Cross Map, the show's executive producer Dee Johnson dished details about the fate of the characters in the show. She said that this revelation will have a huge impact on Will's career and personal life.

According to Fashion Style, Will's career might be greatly affected by his coming out. Will initially wanted to become Luke Wheeler, and such dream might no longer come true as some of his fans might find it difficult to accept him.

Johnson also praised Massey's performance in the previous season but still did not confirm if he will be joining the cast for good. Reports say, however, that although he's not a season regular, Massey will still be seen in Season 4. Johnson added that they are still unsure if they will make the character a regular in the show despite the impact he made in the last season.

Moreover, it has been confirmed that Eric Close, who plays the role of Teddy Conrad, will not be back in the show as part of the regular cast. When the previous season of the show ended, Close's character was under arrest for embezzlement and extortion. According to rumors, his role is reportedly being removed since the producers want to focus on the country music industry instead of politics in the show's Season 4. However, Teddy has children with his ex-wife Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton), so he would probably still be featured in a few episodes.

"Nashville" Season 4 is set to return in ABC on September 23, 2015.
