'Thor 3: Ragnarok' Release Date & Spoilers: Kenneth Branagh Tapped To Direct Last 'Thor' Movie; Will Thanos Make An Appearance?

Not a lot of details have been revealed about the upcoming film "Thor 3: Ragnarok." This has led fans to wonder what will happen to their favorite character Thor and his brother Loki.

According to Ecumenical News, there is still no official script for "Thor 3: Ragnarok" but there are speculations that the film will focus on the giant Surt that will destroy the Bifrost and Asgard.

Also according to the same publication, the third installment of the franchise could see the demise of Loki and Thor if the film will follow the story in the comic books. However, there are also speculations that killing the two main characters wouldn't be a good idea especially if the producers want to create a fourth installment, which they most likely will.

Meanwhile, in a previous interview, Tom Hiddleston, who plays the role of Loki, said that a lot of questions surrounding the character will be answered in "Thor 3: Ragnarok."

Additionally, a new villain may also be introduced in "Thor 3: Ragnarok," and he can either work closely with Loki or against him. Titan Thanos will reportedly be part of the sequel and he could be the one responsible for killing Thor, Fashion N Style reported.

One Reddit user previously wrote, "I think Thanos is the one to kill Thor. At this point Thanos' power range is unknown to Avengers. I think you have to display how badass he is by having put down either Thor or Hulk."

In other news, there are some rumors suggesting that Marvel wants to rehire Kenneth Branagh to direct "Thor 3: Ragnarok." He previously directed the first "Thor" movie and the producers and creators believe his expertise could make the sequel a box office hit.

"Thor 3: Ragnarok" is pegged for release in theaters in the United States on July 28, 2017.
