Calvin Klein Net Worth: Designer Buys Mansion For $25 Million

Calvin Klein's net worth of $700 million is so huge that his recent purchase of a stylish modern Paul McLean mansion in Los Angeles won't seemingly affect his income much. The popular designer closed the deal on the property on Tuesday after paying $25 million for the 9,300-square-foot mansion situated in Hollywood Hills.

The contemporary home with automated retractable floor-to-ceiling glass walls was listed in the market by Tyrone McKillen and Drew Fenton of Hilton & Hyland since January at a price amounting to $32 million, according to LA Times. Klein was represented by Jeff Kohl of The Agency for the sale.

Currently featured in Paul McLean page, the property is designed with 13-foot ceilings and has an entryway featuring a bridge over a waterfall and reflecting a 65-foot infinity pool, overlooking downtown Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean, according to LA Curbed. It has five bedrooms, including a master's bedroom with its own fireplace and terrace. The mansion is designed with seven bathrooms, a home theater, a screening room, a temperature-controlled wine room and an eight-car garage.

Klein, now 72, is better known for his brand Calvin Klein. He is a fashion mogul popular for his brands of fragrances, cosmetics, men's and women's sportswear, and array of watches and jewelry.

Calvin Klein's net worth substantially increased through time due to his love for fashion and design that was inspired by his mother. At a young age, he started sketching, designing and sewing. After his failure to finish college in New York Fashion Institute of Technology, he started working for Dan Millstein. It was then he incepted his first fashion brand that was eventually known as Calvin Klein. Since then, Calvin Klein's net worth skyrocketed.

Klein was married twice. He first tied the knot with Jayne Centre Klein and then with Kelly Rector, both of whom he divorced. After his failed marriages, he was involved with a male porn star named Nick Gruber for two years until 2012.

Klein has other properties in Manhattan and Southampton. In May of this year, the 72-year-old designer put his Miami Beach mansion on sale for $16 million.
