Johnny Depp's net worth of $400 million will soon increase after the actor has placed his 37-acre French estate in the market for a whopping amount of $33 million.
"Plan de la Tour," as the property is called, has a small village in it encompassing a bar, a chapel, several guest houses, a garage a café, and a restaurant. It was purchased by the 52-year-old actor in 2001 when he was still with his ex-partner, French singer and actress Vanessa Paradis.
"Johnny has decided to sell the Plan de la Tour - property to close this chapter of his life and move on. He hopes that someone else will enjoy the property as much as he did and bring him or her the same happiness it brought him," the Chairman & CEO of Sotheby's International Realty France, Alexander Kraft said.
The huge property that lies in Southern France has 12 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms that reflect Depp's personal taste and style. He personally decorated it without the help of any professional designer unlike other celebrity homes. The actor spent approximately $10 million in renovating it for the last 14 years, CBS News reports.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Depp's net worth can be credited from his TV show appearances and movies. He rose to fame in the "21 Jump Street" TV series and eventually enjoyed stardom in the big screen with films "Edward Scissorhands," "Donnie Brasco" and his blockbuster hit "Pirates of the Caribbean."
Depp was first married to Lori Anne Allison (1983-1985) before he met his long-time partner of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis. Depp and Paradis met in Paris in 1998 and split up in June 2012 without even marrying. They share two children, Lily-Rose and Jack. Earlier in the year, he married American actress Amber Heard.
