Lego-Ferrari Partnership To Release The Legendary Ferrari F40 In August

The 1987 iconic Ferrari F40 is making a comeback but not as the fiery red sports car that can put up a couple of hundred miles an hour in seconds but a small and handy toy that both sons and dads can enjoy, CNet reported. Ferrari F40 was described by its Italian maker as a raw and mean machine that rips the road like quicksilver, but was road legal. The sports car was manufactured on a limited basis with only 1,300 units released in the late 1980s.

With Lego and Ferrari's partnership, car lovers who failed to own the F40 for whatever reasons, can now own this legendary vehicle when Lego and Ferrari announced that they will release a brick version of the Ferrari F40. The toy will flaunt a carbon copy, at least some of it, of the real thing including the iconic prancing horse logo and pop-up headlights.

The Ferrari F40's style was ahead of its competition when it was released in 1987. The triple exhaust and round tail lights are the details of the car that made it advanced during that time. The hood is tilted forward for the luggage compartment and the V8 turbocharged engine was placed at the back to show the power of the monster engine.

The Lego Ferrari is set to be dropped in the market on August 1 for $8.99 in the US and 69.99 pounds in the UK.

Lego and Ferrari started their relationship late last year, said The Brick Fan. The online website dedicated for Lego enthusiasts also announced that Lego also partnered with other super car makers McLaren and Porsche. With that being said, the Ferrari F40 Lego version is not the only car that enthusiasts and fans of both supercars and Lego can expect to be released.
