Reports are circulating that Taylor Swift has been chosen to perform in one of the biggest events of the year, the Super Bowl, during its halftime show.
According to Radar Online, the NFL has already approached Swift's team to offer the 25-year-old pop singer the chance to headline the half time performance at the sporting event. According to their sources, Swift's team is already working out the final details.
If Swift will agree on performing for the event, she will be next to Katy Perry who she reportedly has an ongoing feud with. Last year, Perry dressed her backup dancers in a swimsuit similar to Swift's during her Super Bowl performance last year. Now the viewers are waiting if Swift will take her revenge this year. According to reports, she is only waiting on the financials from the NFL before signing the contract.
According to Hollywood Life, Swift is not the only choice for the half time show. It was reported that pop star princess Britney Spears was also offered to perform during the event.
According to rumors, Spears might do it again after several years. It was back in 2011 when she starred in the Super Bowl halftime show where she performed alongside N'SYNC, Mary J. Blige, Nelly and Aerosmith. According to the website's source from the NFL, the association is also considering the pop princess but nothing has been fully finalized yet while they are waiting for Swift's answer.
Swift is currently on her world tour for her recent album, "1989." As of February of this year, the album has already sold 8.6 million copies worldwide. People are interested to see one of the hottest acts of the music industry today and how she will have a comeback from last year's performance from her so-called arch nemesis Katy Perry.
Britney Spears, on the other hand, has her current residency show in Las Vegas, which was just recently renewed until 2017.
