A colossal patch update of 15.9 GB for the PlayStation 4 version of "Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited" has been released this week. The reported patch version 01.04, according to IGN, is an accumulated patch of 01.01 until 01.03 of the game. The patch brings new gaming features and improve the game's performances, queue system and gameplay.
However, IGN described the patch version 01.04 as a bit "frustrating" to some players, and even the "Elder Scrolls Online" team has acknowledged the same and said that it plans to avoid an accumulated patch in the future.
The game patch was announced via "Elder Scrolls Online" Twitter account: "Today's PS4 patch size is 15.9GB because it also includes patches 01.01 - 01.03. Keep an eye on the #ESOTU forums for updates," it reads.
The "Elder Scrolls Online" team said that it is planning to address the issues related to quests, UI, game play and art, which is reportedly an "ongoing work" in progress.
In addition, Eurogamer has listed the "Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited" general notes for Patch version 01.04.
Combat & Gameplay
General
---Decreased the frequency at which players run into invisible NPCs and ensures they will appear if players do run into the problem. This is reportedly an ongoing work in progress, which means players may still run into an invisible NPC occasionally. If this occurs, players are advised to wait; the NPC should appear within 30 seconds.
----Grouped Veteran Rank player characters of any level will now receive both experience and loot credit, regardless of their contribution
-----Non-combat pets will now spawn into the game standing on the ground correctly, instead of sometimes being askew
------Fixed an issue that was causing monsters to appear desynched while in combat
------Players will no longer be prevented from moving after dodge rolling while interacting with an object
Miscellaneous
General
----Fixed an issue where the video at the beginning of the game would not play smoothly
----Fixed an issue where the game could crash while on a mount
-----Improved the game's performance when large numbers of player characters would load into the same visible area
-----Improved the game's performance in areas displaying a lot of particle effects
As Eurogamer noted, the patch has also fixed the "desyched" issue, which gamers experienced upon logging in. For a full patch notes, interested readers can view the "Elder Scrolls Online" forum here.
