Brad Pitt Angelina Jolie Divorce Update: Report Slammed as Fake, Plus What Will Happen to ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ TV Show?

Reports of Brad Pitt and Angelina divorce have been going around lately. The story apparently broke out after an InTouch report cited by Hollywood Life claimed that the power couple is having marital woes.

According to the source, Pitt is the one who's asking for divorce. The source of the news was quoted as saying, "He's the one who's calling time on their marriage. He's told Angie they're over. He says she's controlled him from day one of their relationship. Although he liked her taking charge at first, he's come to resent the power he's allowed her to have him."

In light of these talks, however, a Gossip Cop report claims that the divorce rumor is actually "fake." According to the publication, this is not the first time InTouch Weekly reported that the Hollywood couple is separating. In fact, InTouch has reportedly made the same claims back in February and March, "and not a single one has proven to be true." Gossip Cop even made a bold claim that "there is no divorce announcement coming," even after the couple's upcoming movie "By The Sea" is released this fall.

Meanwhile, in a related report, the new show titled "Smith" has been given the go signal. According to Variety, the show is a take on Pitt and Jolie's film "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" for TV. The report states that the show will pick up six months after the events in the movie and will feature two married assassins and their marital issues, blowing them up to "action-genre size." The stars of the show are yet to be announced, as Pitt and Jolie will reportedly not be reprising their roles for the TV series.
