'Fear The Walking Dead' Trailer & Spoilers: New Teaser Shows Terror Leading Up To Zombie Outbreak [WATCH]

The creators of "Fear the Walking Dead" recently released a new teaser for the upcoming series, which showed how people were terrorized prior to the zombie outbreak.

In the teaser, Kim Dickens' Madison was featured talking to a worried student who was concerned about the reported zombie outbreak. The student could be heard telling the guidance counselor what he heard from others, and at one point, he even stressed that people are killing each other.

Madison, as the calm and collected guidance counselor, then told the student that he needs to stop spending so much time reading news online so that he wouldn't be easily bothered by such bogus reports. However, it is unclear whether or not Madison was merely appeasing the student or if she's really not aware that a zombie outbreak will take place soon.

Meanwhile, fans of "The Walking Dead" are wondering how the spinoff will be able to live up to the hype that the AMC series has received for the past six seasons.

According to HNGN, "The Walking Dead" and "Fear the Walking Dead" may seem very similar to one another. However, the latter will feature events that took place ahead of the zombie apocalypse. In "The Walking Dead," the characters were already featured dealing with and surviving the zombie attacks, but the back story as to why and how everything started was never told.

"Fear the Walking Dead" will air its first six episodes for the first season starting August. This premiere date was reportedly scheduled in time for the upcoming premiere of "The Walking Dead" Season 6 in the fall, Variety reported.

Meanwhile, executive producer Dave Erickson previously told the publication that "Fear the Walking Dead" is classified as a family drama that will be centered on the heroic couple Cliff Curtis and Dickens who are both struggling to keep their respective families together.
