Chris Hughes Net Worth: Facebook Co-Founder Sells Soho Loft For $8.75M

Chris Hughes is selling his New York Loft for $8.75 million. The condo located at 30 Crosby Street has a total area of over 4,000 square feet.

According to New York Curbed, the Facebook co-founder purchased the Soho Loft for $4.8 million back in 2010. The loft has three bedrooms and three bathrooms and boasts an interior filled with 19th century wood columns and exposed bricks and clocks. In addition, he and his husband Sean Eldridge, an activist financer and former congressional candidate, added more bedrooms and bathrooms to the place after they purchased it. The couple also added a breakfast nook and a stunning library with built-in bookshelves.

WSJ reported that the place has a living room of about 40 feet long which is a great place for entertaining guests. There is also a wine cellar in the basement, which is included in the listing details of the place.

Hughes is a co-founder of the social media site Facebook with his college roommates and friends Mark Zuckerberg and Dustin Moskovitz. He became a publisher and editor of the New Republic after he bought the magazine back in 2012.

According to Richest Celebrities, the estimated net worth of Hughes is $850 million. During the 2008 national elections, he was the online coordinator that organized Barack Obama's presidential campaign on the website My.BarackObama.com. In 2009, he was named Entrepreneur in Residence at General Catalyst Partners, a Cambridge, Massachusetts, venture-capital firm. He was also the executive director of a non-profit social organization named Jumo, which "aims to help people find ways to help the world."

According to reports, Hughes met Eldridge in Cambridge back in 2005 where Hughes was a senior at Harvard and Eldridge was working as a customer service manager. The long-time couple then married in 2012.
