Mariah Carey and boyfriend/billionaire James Packer are getting married soon despite the former being still legally married to husband, Nick Cannon. Carey and Packer recently took a jet to Israel to seek advice from a spiritual leader before Packer pops the question.
Mariah Carey, the 45-year-old mega hits singer, has been married to Nick Cannon for about six years. The couple also have two four-year-old twins named Monroe and Moroccan. However, according to NZ City, the couple are due to finalize their divorce soon.
Currently, Carey has been dating a billionaire named James Packer, a 47-year-old divorcee to second ex-wife Erica. He and Carey were introduced by mutual friend Brett Ratner, and saying that Packer fell for Carey while attending one of her performances held in Las Vegas last May. Since then, he has been doing everything to keep his bond with Carey as strong as possible.
According to TMZ, Carey and Packer are about to take an enormous leap together as the latter wishes to be wed to Carey as soon as possible. Before he makes the decision, the couple were reported to travel via jet to Israel wherein Packer wishes to consult a religious leader for advice on his big decision to get married again. The said trip was called a "pre-engagement spiritual meeting" for Packer to be guided into making the correct decision for him and his current girlfriend.
Despite their future plans to be husband and wife, Carey's legal husband, Cannon, revealed last April that he is still open to the possibility of him and Carey getting back together. He also indicated that he is a hopeless romantic who believes Carey will always remain as the love of his life and that she and his kids will always be family to him.
