Ariana Grande, alongside Lady Gaga and Nick Jonas, performed during the New York Pride event to celebrate the legalization of gay marriage in the United States. Despite her show of support, she was bashed on Twitter by many gay people for being "a previous homophobic", even when she was greeted a happy birthday.
Ariana Grande has been gaining tremendous success in Hollywood ever since she starred on Glee. In fact, she is to star in the upcoming TV Series entitled "Scream Queens", which is both a comedic yet has a horror feel to it. Her character, Hester "Neckbrace", is a scoliotic girl appearing alongside famous singer Nick Jonas, Billie Lourd, and Nasim Pedran. According to Daily Mail, the famous singer also recently celebrated her 22nd birthday with friends and family in New York City wherein she witnessed her gay brother, Frankie, perform on the Macbeth-inspired interactive play entitled "Sleep No More".
Grande performed with her co-star in the upcoming TV Series "Scream Queens", Nick Jonas, alongside Lady Gaga in New York City for the grand LGBT celebration. Despite her efforts, she received negative feedback from numerous gay people as indicated in several Twitter posts.
As mentioned, she recently celebrated her birthday. According to Inquisitr, Rihanna Smith posted on Twitter tagging Grande that stated: "Happy Birthday you loser. Stop using the gay community to sell records." Omar Lares also tweeted: "Happy bday, but please stop appropriating our community for your selfish needs. You have talent and don't need to exploit us." Additionally, commenter Bruno Medina also stated: "Ariana Grande is a former homophobic who now pretends to be pro-gay in order to sell records. I refuse to listen to her music or buy any of her products. #shesafad".
These reactions were quite troublesome as there were no proof that showed Grande's "homophobic" side, especially since she has been constantly supporting her gay brother in all his endeavors.
