Just two episodes from the highly-acclaimed series of "True Detective" Season Two, and everyone is instantly on the edge of their seats! On the June 28th episode of TD, "Night Finds You", one main character seemed to be killed off just before we even reached Act II, according to Hollywoodlife.
In a review from The Wall Street Journal, Episode 2 of True Detective Season 2 started off with Frank (Vince Vaughn) in bed just staring at a stain on his ceiling. He tells his wife, Jordan (Kelly Reilly), about how he was left locked in a basement for days by his own father. The then six-year-old Frank had to survive for himself in the dark - even fighting off rats who tried to bite off his fingers. "What if I'm still in that basement? The dark? What if I died there?" he asked. This gruesome experience explains why Frank is ambitious and power-hungry.
Meanwhile, Paul (Taylor Kitsch), Ray (Colin Farrell), And Ani (Rachel McAdams) were at the morgue with Caspere's body who was bound, hung upside down, and was shot in the genital area. His eyes was burned with hydrochloric acid. Both the local law and state enforcement were feuding over who will get the case. The state allowed Paul to be the investigator but he would still have to look into Vinci PD.
Ani was the case's head commander with Ray as the sidekick. However, Ray was called as "bent" and the state actually warned her to utilize him in order to open up "the window to everything" about Vinci.
Ray's other boss, Frank, wants him to know who killed Caspere. Eventually, Frank then realizes that Ray shouldn't be investigating. Instead, Frank "investigates" Caspere through contacting his connections in the sex trade industry. He then finds out that Caspere had kept a separate house where "sexual activities" are being held. The crime boss then sends Ray to check it out.
Ray finds the house with a camera still recording, a radio playing, and blood on the floor. However, a mysterious man in a crow mask shots Ray. First shot made Ray fall to the floor while the second hit him on the gut.
Is it really Ray's end? Isn't it too soon for "True Detective" to kill one of its main characters?
