iOS 8.4 and Apple Music Arrive Early On Tuesday

If you are an Apple fan and is looking forward for the launching of iOS 8.4, here's a good news for you! You will get your hands on the mobile operating system two hours ahead of schedule and it is bringing Apple Music with it, digitaltrends.com reports.

Contrary to the earlier press release, iOS 8.4 is now expected to arrive 8 a.m. Pacific Time, on Tuesday, June 30, rather than the usual 10 a.m. slot, according to a post from Apple's Ian Rogers.

According to Rogers, former CEO for Beats and currently Apple's senior director for Apple Music, the change in schedule was pushed to accommodate Beats 1 streaming radio station which is set to go on air at 9:00 a.m. PDT. The station, designed to stream music 24/7, will be carried by DJs including Zane Lowe, Julie Adenuga, and Ebro Darden.

Apple's iOS 8.4 will bring Apple Music to the platform, and users will be able to enjoy three months free of premium music streaming. After that, individual users will have to pay $9.99 per month for the service, gsmarena.com reports.

The said service is set to compete with Spotify, Rdio, and Rhapsody as hub of millions of songs on demand as well as song collections tailored to subscribers' personal tastes, Cnet reports.

It is Apple's way of grabbing a larger piece of the online music market which is now at $1.57 billion in revenue from subscription services according to International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, a global trade group for the music business.

Meanwhile, Eddie Cue, head of iTunes Apple Pay and Apple's other Internet software and services businesses, responded to Twitter queries and confirms the arrival of iOS 9 this fall that would likewise support Apple Music. The Cupertino giant is working on raising track limit on iTunes Match to 100,000 songs - up from 25,000 at the moment.
