2K's basketball simulation video game franchise, the "NBA 2K16," will reportedly have a Special Edition cover that will feature basketball icon Michael Jordan, Master Herald reports. Fondly called by basketball enthusiasts and fans as "His Airness," world-renowned Michael Jordan is set to appear in the video game's Special Edition cover and other game memorabilia.
The "NBA 2K16" cover, based on the Master Herald report, will likely have three other basketball players once it is available to the public. Known basketball superstars reportedly to land in the "NBA 2K16" Special Edition cover are Stephen Curry, James Harden and Anthony Davis. Buyers of the said video game can actually choose their own video game cover. Moreover, the "NBA 2K16" Special Edition comes in a foldable design that will allow buyers or players to swap covers.
2K explains that the decision to feature Michael Jordan in the "NBA 2K16" Special Edition was made to celebrate Michael Jordan's Hall of Fame legacy and to give basketball fans and enthusiasts some customizations in the basketball simulation video game.
"I'm excited about this year's NBA 2K's Special Edition. 'NBA 2K16' allows gamers young and old to not only experience and re-create some of my greatest moments on the basketball court but also customize their players with Jordan shoes and apparel," says Michael Jordan, as quoted in the "NBA 2K16" website.
According to Businesswire, gamers who pre-ordered the "NBA 2K16" Special Edition will be able to receive the in-game free contents and other video game memorabilia four days before its slated launch on September 25. "NBA 2K16" contains the following in-game contents and bonuses:
