NetherRealm, game developer of "Mortal Kombat X," has announced that a new character will be introduced this month, Master Herald reports. The report identified the new downloadable character as the Predator, which was described as a supernatural hunter that has advanced technological capabilities.
The Predator character will arrive in July as part of the "Mortal Kombat" DLC pack, which is priced at $30. NetherRealm, according to Master Herald, has earlier released in May other free downloadable contents of the video game featuring the character of Jason Voorhees. Aside from the Predator character, it was noted that Tremor will complete the "Mortal Kombat X" DLC pack. The Tremor character is due to be released within this year, although NetherRealm has not announced a specific date yet.
The coming of Predator character was first announced via Twitter by "Mortal Kombat's" series creator, Ed Boon. The announcement was accompanied by a photo allegedly showing the Predator character squaring off with Jax. According to VC Post, the Predator character is part of the Predator DLC called the "Predator/Prey Pack." The reported "Predator DLC" also contains Predator-themed skins such as the Commando Johnny, Carl Weathers as Jax and Infrared Scorpions.
Attack of the Fan Boy reports that once the patch update containing the Predator/Prey DLC is rolled out, it will turn off the auto saving feature of Match Replays in the "Mortal Kombat X" video game. This will reportedly require players to upload to the cloud servers. Moreover, the DualShock 4, according to the same website, can also be turned off once a fightstick has been paired. Users can have the option to leave a King of the Hill in the video game without taking a loss.
"Mortal Kombat X" is currently available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and other gaming consoles. The Predator DLC, meanwhile, is expected to be released in July 2015.
