The future of "Dance Moms" remains uncertain following statements from two of its lead stars, Maddie Ziegler and Abby Lee Miller, who recently expressed doubts over appearing for Season 6 of the Lifetime reality series. Will "Dance Moms" Season 5 mark the end of the series?
Lifetime reality series "Dance Moms" Season 6 is still up in the air after it was recently met with controversies surrounding its cast members and production issues.
Nia Frazier recently announced that she will no longer be back for another season after filming for Season 5 has ended. Now, Abby Lee Miller and Maddie Ziegler are also seemingly singing the same tune about returning for "Dance Moms" Season 6.
In an interview with MTV Australia, Maddie Ziegler expressed uncertainty over returning for the reality series for Season 6.
"We just finished season five and I'm not sure what's going to happen for season six. I don't know if I'm going to do it or not, so it just depends," the 12-year-old star revealed.
Abby Lee Miller, on the other hand, recently announced that she will not star in "Dance Moms" Season 6 until the network settles her issues on the show's payment and production, Reality Tea reported.
"Lifetime is a little in arrears on their payment plan with me personally and so I think that will have to be taken care of before we talk about Season 6," she said.
Miller also cited the need for changes in the contract should she return for another season. She also claimed that the crew was one of the reasons for the original ALDC team leaving.
While both stars have expressed their doubts over returning for another season on the Lifetime series, Ziegler revealed that she hopes to get her hands more into acting.
Ziegler, who starred in Sia's music video for "Chandelier," will be appearing in a guest role for the ABC Family series, "Pretty Little Liars."
"It was the best week of my life because it's my favorite TV show... It was just really fun and I got to see the whole set and it was just so fun," she admitted.
