A much-hyped celebrity divorce is hitting the Internet by storm after Hollywood couple of 10 years, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, admitted their separation on Tuesday.
Celebrity divorce rumors about the pair have been surfacing over the last couple of months, but the two have remained mum on the issue until this week when they both declared their separation in a common statement. Fans of the A-list couple were devastated about the issue.
Apparently, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have been living like strangers for months. A source close to Affleck and Garner revealed that although the duo tried to hide their personal problems, it's obvious that they were experiencing marital conflicts. The two celebrated their marriage of 10 years on June 29 and announced their separation the next day.
"After much thought and careful consideration we have made the difficult decision to divorce," reads the couple's statement to E! Online. "We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time."
Affleck and Garner also asked for privacy on the matter. "This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding."
Insiders revealed that the former couple has always prioritized their three kids and will be managing to stay together as much as they can for them.
According to some controversy, Garner was waiting for this for a long time to finally make it on her own. Reportedly, she has been planning to revive her career and do more movies, Fox News reports.
Before the celebrity divorce rumors spread, they Affleck and Garner were photographed together with their children in Pacific Palisades Farmer's Market on June 14. Insiders say that the two looked miserable and were not even talking the whole time.
Back in April, Affleck was seen having a solo holiday in Canada and without his wedding ring, PEOPLE reports. The celebrity divorce was reportedly bound to happen, as sources divulged that the couple has been talking to their lawyers about it for months now.
It has been reported though that it seems the couple's split is not going to cause arguments between the two. They reportedly have agreed to stay in different places and they will share custody of the kids.
Affleck and Garner met in the set of "Daredevil" and tied the knot in 2005. They share three lovely kids, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3. Insiders revealed that although they were great parents, Affleck and Garner were not getting along well and they were actually having marriage counseling for two years.
