Kendall Jenner Instagram: Young Model Beats Her Sister Kim Kardashian for Most Liked Photo; How Did She Do It?

Kendall Jenner has beaten her sister Kim Kardashian for the most liked photo on Instagram, getting 2.7 million likes as of yesterday. Her photo, which was posted five weeks ago as shown on her Instagram account @kendalljenner, has garnered 113,800 comments and counting.

According to Radar Online, Kim Kardashian has officially been "dethroned" by Kendall on Instagram as Kardashian's wedding photo of herself and husband Kanye West was the former most-liked picture on social media with 2.4 million likes.

In line with this, The Guardian took notice of the elements in Jenner's photo that might be a "valuable lesson" to get more likes on Instagram. Such elements are also reportedly the possible reasons why the photo became so popular.

First was the heart hair. The hair design apparently breaks the crucial cool rule of Instagram and it posed many questions like whether Kendall is in love or if she is referencing Persian poet Rumi with a visual affirmation about love, or if she is alluding to the fact that 2015 is the 60th anniversary of Swizzel Love Hearts, thus securing the Stockport and Greater Manchester vote, the Guardian said.

Love Hearts are a type of confectionery manufactured by Swizzels Matlow in the United Kingdom, according to Wikipedia.

The report adds that there is also that certain Ophelia by Elizabeth Siddel or Tennyson's Lady of Shallot vibe in "Kenner's" picture, which is reportedly possibly the reason for the photo getting likes from first year BA EngLit students.

Another thing that could have boosted likes for Jenner's Instagram photo is the face. A report quoting Georgia Institute of Technology and Yahoo Labs researchers said that pictures with faces are 38 percent more likely to receive likes than photos without faces.

The dress also apparently played a vital role for Kendall's picture to get "one like for every heartbeat." According to Guardian, the dress reportedly looks like Lebanese designer Ellie Saab's dreamy, ethereal SS16 couture collection, which possibly got the Beirut vote. Or the 19-year-old model reportedly may have been wearing a Givenchy in the photo, of which she is a catwalk mainstay, leading to the French's thumbs up. However, the truth, according to a caption on OK Magazine, is that Kendall is actually wearing a Zuhair Murad white lace gown in the photo.

Jenner, in her Instagram photo, is lying on a carpet with a pattern loosely modeled on the "Algiz" runestone, which represents protection, opportunities, challenges and victory, The Guardian report said.
