Premiere game manufacturer Valve confirmed that their pre-ordered Steam Machine has sold out. IGN said that the ace gaming equipment, which will be released on October 16, is no longer available. The special pre-order deal for North America hardcore gamers was closed out when the ceiling was reached.
The Steam Machine is running on SteamOS, a modified version of Linux. The modified Linux or SteamOS offers hardcore gamers to enjoy a bigger picture mode compared to Windows.
Also, as per the information available in Alienware's website, the Steam Machine boasts a massive library of over 1,000 local online gamers and all games are playable in full 1080p HD. Gamers were also informed or enticed rather of the machine's high performing NVIDIA GEForce GTX GPU 2GB DDDR5 graphics and Intel Core processors. Also, the high performing gaming machine is equipped with the innovative Steam Controller.
With its massive game library, gamers can choose from thousands of native SteamOS games and over 5,000 additional games available via streaming. It also comes with a bundle with an in-game content and ready to play games. The Steam Controller is also a state-of-the-art controller that will allow players to move very efficiently and effectively which is far better than the traditional controllers. The machine can also accommodate up to 4 Steam Controllers at once and the processors and other internal components of the machine are specifically for gaming, thus making every experience memorable.
Valve also confirmed that those who failed to get the October 10 pre-order slot, they can still order the Steam Controller, Steam Link, Alienware or Syber Steam Machines at the website but they have to wait for the unit's formal release.
The bundle, meaning the Alienware Steam Machine and the Steam Controller comes in at $450.
Alienware also confirmed that the machine's official release is November but they have to confirm the specific date.
