After the fans' enthusiastic response of her recent appearance in the current season of The Bachelorette last May, there's already a rally of people backing Amy Schumer to be the next Bachelorette. What does she think about this?
Schumer was at a press conference for her latest movie Trainwreck last Friday, and the 34-year-old comedian addressed the rising demand for her to cast in the ABC reality show. "I really was very tempted," she said in a report by Variety. "But I think the franchise would be over." Pointing out the show's current storyline, she added, "People got so mad that Kaitlyn f-ked one guy, can you imagine me (on the show)?"
But it looks like the star of Inside Amy Schumer really considers the idea as she told E! News in an interview the three things it would take to get her on the show, news.com.au reports:
1. She wants cash: "Money," Schumer says. "A lot of money."
2. She wants to keep it real: "They would have to say, 'We will let you be yourself,'" she adds. "I would say what was really up. I would be very honest and I don't think there's room for that in the franchise."
3. She wants the casting process to be different. "First of all their job descriptions are so weird. It's like, 'former investment banker'?! They're like, 'flower enthusiast'? You're like, 'But what do you do? How come you could leave your life?'" she says. "I love when it's like, 'I have five kids at home but I just came here to follow my heart.' It's like maybe go take care of your kids? I would keep it very real. And I don't know if it's good for that show."
And the specifications don't end there. She even told Entertainment Weekly:
"I would choose Afghanistan [as the location]. I hear that's a really cool place to hang, but I'll never know," Schumer joked.
"I'd want it to be only Asian guys who could apply. I would want $1 million, and I would donate it to a charity that would keep that guy Tony from this season away from me. It's my own charity: He has to stay a football field away from me at all times."
And when asked about the time commitment, she said: "It's a journey. So however long it takes to find my husband."
Even the host of the show, Chris Harrison, showed his support by giving the idea a yes and re-tweeting an article of Amy's interview.
