Spoiler Alert! 'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7 News: New Cast Includes Same-Sex Couple

The Vampire Diaries will premiere on October 8 and will be introducing a new line of characters that is, in a way timely. According to Justjaredjr's report, the hit TV series will feature a same-sex couple named Nora and Mary Louise.

The couple is described as a dangerous duo of down-low lovers with murderous capabalities. The vampires, both turned in their mid-20s, have kept their relationship a mystery for over a century, and in spite of the fact that their association is clear to those ready to penetrate their internal circle, Mary Louise's consistent gushing can here and there feel a bit smothery for blazing Nora's enjoying. Still, anybody sufficiently absurd to cross both of them will feel both their rage.

There is another character to be introduced in the upcoming season and she will be named Valerie, a 20 something vampire who uses her dry sense of humor to counter the challenge of pain and dismissal. On her journey, Valerie will meet someone who will help her to remember the happier, free spirited version of her and in return, Valerie will do anything and whatever it takes to keep him in her life.

On related news, TVLine published an article to air The Vampire Diaries' producers in explaining why things have to happen in the previous season, more specifically Elena's exit. The show's executive producer Caroline Dries said that they know that they didn't want Elena to be killed because they want her to come back, more in the finale season.

Dries explained about the team's insight on the big send off to Kal and the team's goal on wrapping up the story. She said that they wanted to show the viewers how the heretics work, so they have turned into one. They ultimately want to be the villain for next year which is why they went through that process. They also needed a villain to pay off the entire mythology of the season and it so happened that he is available and he'd been the most awesome villain they have in the show. Dries also said that luckily it worked really well.
