Tech giant Apple is reportedly gearing up to release on fall 2015 its new flagship iPhone, which is the iPhone 6s. The iPhone 6s has preserved the exterior design of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus but the rumored new device from Apple features the Force Touch technology, Macrumors reported on Tuesday.
The iPhone 6s leaked photos reveal that the rear shell of the smartphone is identical to the exterior design of iPhone 6. It reportedly has the same thickness and width and with only "minor internal differences" from the current model. The Force Touch feature in the iPhone 6s has a haptic feedback as one of its marquee features. The Force Touch technology, as Apple claims, will be integrated into Maps to allow users to drop pins as well as other iPhone apps.
Aside from the exterior design of the rumored iPhone 6s smartphone, the leaked photos, as 95toMac reported, show several design features such as the lightning connector, microphones, volume rocker, mute button, headphone jack, sleep/wake button, a SIM card slot, antenna lines and a cut-out for the rear-facing camera including the LED flash. All these design features are reportedly the same with the hardware specifications of iPhone 6. This reportedly explains why the rumored device is named iPhone 6s because of its borrowed specs from iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
The rumored iPhone 6s will be powered by Apple's A9 processor mobile chip with 2 GB of Random Access Memory (RAM), an improved 12 MP camera and 7000 Series aluminium material, among others. However, 95toMac stressed that the rumored iPhone 6s won't feature a dual-lens camera system contrary to previous rumors. It added that iPhone 6s has a slightly different mounting structure, specifically the iPhone 6s new logic board and components.
