Action speaks louder than words. If such actions, captured in an Instagram photo, were to be the basis, there is no reason not to believe that Selena Gomez and Cody Simpson are Hollywood's newest celebrity couple.
The latest photo of Selena on Instagram apparently shows her enjoying Cody's company as they eat ice cream with two other friends. "These days are always the best days," Selena's caption on her Instagram photo reads. In the photo, Gomez is wearing a black strappy top layered with denim overalls while Cody is in a black T-shirt with matching beanie.
Fans are going crazy and assuming that the two are dating, based on some of the comments on the post, OK Magazine reports. Also according to Daily Mail, Selena and Cody are the latest to be entangled in the A-list web of young romances in Hollywood, which is as follows:
Cody recently broke up with Gigi Hadid. He is a close friend of Gomez's ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. The two young men are often spotted partying together and are reportedly planning to release an album together.
Hadid, on the other hand, is believed to be dating Joe Jonas, who used to date her friend Taylor Swift, whose friend Hailey Baldwin is currently in Cody's hometown Australia with Bieber.
Selena, on the other hand, dated Bieber. They made their relationship official in February 2011 when they attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party. The two split up in November 2012 and was reunited in April 2013. They had a brief split after that and decided to date again in July 2013 before splitting again the following year.
It was previously reported that it was Selena's frenemy Kendall Jenner that partly caused the breakup after Gomez discovered that the two were hanging out in secret behind her back, the Daily Mail said. Kendall, who was seen with Bieber at the Coachella music festival in April, is also good friends with Cody's 20-year-old ex-girlfriend Hadid.
Meanwhile, Hadid and Jonas apparently enjoyed a boat ride in London together with model Karlie Kloss, singer Taylor Swift and her new boyfriend Calvin Harris. Joe and Taylor actually dated in 2008, according to Daily Mail. It was thought that he was Swift's inspiration for her "Fearless" album.
Finally, Swift is also a close friend of Selena. In fact, she is one of the main famous faces in Taylor's recent "Bad Blood" music video, the report said.
