'Steve Jobs' Movie Trailer, Cast & Release Date: First Intense Footage Starring Michael Fassbender Released

Apple and movie fans alike are reportedly excited about the upcoming movie "Steve Jobs." This is the second biopic movie of the late Apple founder following the 2013 movie "Jobs" starring Ashton Kutcher.

According to Mac World, the upcoming movie seems to be much better than the previous one which had mixed reviews and an inaccurate story. In addition, "Steve Jobs" reportedly has better script, director and cast compared to the 2013 film. Earlier, Sony Pictures had the rights to the film and also chose a great director on board. However, Sony decided to drop the project and then Universal took over in November.

According to CNN, "Steve Jobs" will be directed by Danny Boyle who also directed hits like "Slumdog Millionaire" and "28 Days Later." Steve Jobs will be played by "X-men" actor Michael Fassbender. The script was created by Aaron Sorkin who adapted it from Isaacson's best-selling biography with the same title, according to Variety. Sorkin won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for his work in the movie "The Social Network."

Unlike the previous Steve Jobs movie, this film will reportedly follow several decades in the life and career of Steve Jobs. It will focus on the three different products the late Apple CEO launched: Macintosh, NeXT and the iMac. The movie will also reportedly address one criticism about whether he can write a code or not.

This week Universal released a clip of the upcoming film to give the fans a glimpse of what to expect on the movie. The featured clip shows Seth Rogen, who plays Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, and other cast members like Kate Winslet, who plays the original Mac Engineer Joanna Hoffman, and Jeff Daniels, who plays John Sculley, the former CEO of Apple who famously forced Jobs out of the company back in 1985.

"Steve Jobs" is set to be released on October 9, 2015.
