Avid fans of "Fallout 4" can now pre-order a digital copy of the video game for Xbox One console. Bethesda's renowned "Fallout 4" video game is priced at $59.99. For a limited time, gamers who pre-order "Fallout 4" will be able to receive a digital download of "Fallout 3" video game as part of the bundle, iDigitalTimes reported on Wednesday.
According to iDigitalTimes, gamers who actually received a digital download of "Fallout 3" can only play it on an Xbox 360 until it is made available for backwards compatibility. Microsoft says that the "Fallout 3" video game code will be sent to gamers through the Xbox Live messaging platform within 7-10 days after a pre-order of "Fallout 4" is made.
iDigitalTimes also revealed that the map in "Fallout 4" is "big" and set in Boston, as confirmed by Director Todd Howard. "It's big. I wouldn't say, you know, if you played Skyrim, I couldn't tell you it's X bigger, so we're just saying it's about the same size," said Howard as quoted in the same report.
"We don't actually measure it like that. Because Skyrim is one size, but the mountains take up a lot of space. That's not really a game place, it's in your way, you have to go around it, so we're not really doing that. In the city, it's very dense, but there is no load - like in 'Fallout 3,' there's a load - for areas of the city, we don't do that. So it's very dense, the buildings are tall, and a lot of them are open, so you can just walk in and around," continued Howard.
In "Fallout 4" digital version, Gottamobile claims gamers can actually pre-load the game and play immediately, commencing at midnight on November 10. Both Microsoft and Sony, however, have not yet announced any pre-loading plans of the "Fallout 4" video game.
The report also noted that there is a difference between the digital copy and the physical version of the "Fallout 4" video game. For instance, in the physical version of "Fallout 4," gamers will be able to lend or sell the game to others, citing a member of the family, for example. This feature is reportedly an advantage for those players that eventually tend to lose interest in a video game. It was also noted that "Fallout 4" doesn't have a multiplayer mode as the video is entirely developed for single-player experience.
