In the report by Crossmap, there was no iPod Touch 6th Generation presented during the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2015.
An article from Venture Capital Post mentioned that iPhone 5th Generation is getting old,it being in the market for over two and a half years. StableyTimes also reported that in the past six months, there have been Apple Events but did not mention the iPod.
In a previous article from Master Herald, iPod Touch 6th Generation will launch in September 2015 along with the latest iPhone.
The article added that the new iPod will feature Apple's mobile payment system, the Apple Pay. Also, the device shall be powered by an A9microprocessor, which is better and faster rather than the chipset that is currently used in iPhone 6. In addition, the iPod 6th generation comes in two display size variants - a 4.7 inch screen size and a 5.5 inch display size.
Also, iPod will come to different colors including silver, pink, red, blue, space grey, and yellow. It will have 1GB of RAM but can be upgraded to as much as 128GB through a microSD card. Another features include longer battery life, improved security features that include Touch ID fingerprint sensor, and shall sport an 8-megapixel iSight camera, waterproof and compatible with the iWatch.
In the latest news from Master Herald, the report mentioned that the new iPod will be powered by iOS 9. Also, the features of the upcoming device shall combine those that were on iPod Touch 5th Generation and the latest iPhones.
The iPod Touch 6th Generation will have a retail price of $250 to $300, depending on the variant.
Also, according to Master Herald, Apple has not been making any official statement to either confirm or deny the speculations about the new iPod. The company usually makes official statements during or after its product launches.
