Earlier rumors have speculated that Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" song is about her former friend, Katy Perry. Selena Gomez, who is friends with both singers, is sandwiched between the two's reported feud. To finally clear things up, the "Good for You" singer talked about the issue between Swift and Perry.
On Tuesday Gomez played a little game at New Zealand radio's The Edge Afternoons with "Tabloid True or False" that gave the young singer the chance to explain her side about the alleged drama behind the video. It can be recalled that Gomez was featured in Swift's mini movie-music video for "Bad Blood," where she reportedly portrays a character very similar to Perry. When host Sharyn of The Edge Afternoons asked Gomez if she really called Perry to tell her that she was just acting in the video and was not being mean to her, she replied, "That's false, I love Katy. I just talked to her," said Gomez. "She's amazing. But I didn't talk about that, but i just talked to her. She's awesome."
During the interview, "The Heart Wants What it wants" singer also added that it's difficult when people write bad things about her when they don't know the truth. However, she said that she's not bothered about it because at the end of the day, people will eventually know what's real and what's not.
Rumors on Swift and Perry's feud began again last year when the "Blank Space" singer commented on Rolling Stone about the lyrics of "Bad Blood" video, which many presume to be about the former. A source also told Hollywood Life that Perry also plans to release a song about Swift before finally moving on from the issue.
"A diss track is still planned and then that will be it. They'll never be friends but Katy doesn't want this feud to define her career. She'll do the song and move on," the source said.
