Gerard Butler busts out hardcore action moves in the recently unveiled teaser for the upcoming film "London Has Fallen," which will be released in January 2016. The film is centered on Butler's character Mike Banning who discovers a plot to assassinate all the world leaders attending the funeral of the British Prime Minister, according to Daily Mail.
The teaser clip begins with the "calm before the storm" as it shows the beauty of London, including the London Eye and Buckingham Palace. Then the President Of The United States Benjamin Asher, played by Aaron Eckhart, arrives via helicopter with secret service agent Mike. An audio news report can be heard in the background about the funeral of the British Prime Minister that will be attended by the world's top leaders.
"In 2013 Olympus fell" is then showed on the screen, followed by flashback scenes in the movie "Olympus Has Fallen." "In 2016" and "London Will Fall" are flashed on the screen afterward, alternating with video clips that include a bomb being detonated followed with an explosion on a bridge in the capital of England. The movie teaser shows a lot of guns, fire, and explosives, according to Daily Mail.
Despite the British Prime Minister's funeral being the most protected event on earth, a disaster happens in the movie, the Time said. The Chelsea Bridge blows up, and so is the Westminster Abbey, prompting the Queen's Guard to begin shooting at an unspecified target, it added.
Chaos continues with short glimpses of bazookas being shot, British Royal Guards firing off assault rifle shots, cars flipping and more explosions. There is also a scene where Eckart is seen running away frantically. Mike was also shown leaning on an SUV while firing off a few shots with his pistol toward attackers behind the vehicle.
"London Will Fall" also stars Morgan Freeman as Vice President Allan Trumbull, Angela Bassett, Robert Forster, Melissa Leo, Radha Mitchell and Jackie Earle Haley. The film is directed by Babak Najafi, who is known for his work on "Easy Money II: Hard To Kill."
