The San Diego Comic-Con is already a week away and fans are not just excited to see their favorite TV stars in the event but also about announcements and panels from some of the most anticipated movies. However, earlier reports revealed that Sony, Paramount and Marvel Studios won't be joining the event this year. Despite that, IGN reports that there are still some big movies that are going to be featured in this year's event.
It has been confirmed that "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" director J.J. Abrams, along with his co-writer Lawrence Kasdan, will be present in the panel event on Friday, July 10, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Hall H. Lucas film president and producer Kathleen Kennedy and some "special guests" will reportedly show off a special look of the latest "Star Wars" film during the event.
On Saturday, July 11, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hall H, Warner Bros. will start with the "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" team. According to reports, fans are hoping that the actor to play Holly Hunter will be revealed this Saturday. There are also rumors circulating that that the panel will have some major announcements about the movie during their scheduled event.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" will be the showstopper at the end of the day on Saturday, July 11, from 5:45 p.m. to 7:30pm at Hall H. Director Bryan Singer confirmed that he will be in San Diego for the screening of "The Rogue Cut" of the previous X-Men movie, "X-Men: Days of Future Past." He revealed in his Twitter account that he hopes to bring some stuff he can show Comic-Con fans from the "X-Men: Apocalypse" film. It was rumored that some of the cast members will also show up and it is expected that Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds, will be in attendance as well.
