'The Sims 4' Update: Game Celebrates With #SimSummer

Game studio EA's "The Sims 4" will have a "look and feel" of summer time. This is after the company announced that it wants gamers to have summer-inspired activities such as swimming in the beach or in the pool in the video game, a report from Master Herald stated on Thursday.

In "The Sims 4" video game, players will have to take a photo of what their Sims are actually doing during the summer season. The #SimSummer hashtag has been created so that players will be able to share their photos via social networking websites such as Twitter, Instagram and others, according to Master Herald.

"We want to see all the awesome things that your Sims get up to this summer, so tag in #SimSummer. Selfies, screenshots, drawings, anything that shows off your #SimSummer is welcome, and at the end of August we'll post another blog with all our favorites. Be sure to check back then and see if yours is posted," wrote EA in the Sims website.

In addition, gamers who submitted a photo or posted a photo using the #SimSummer hashtag will have the chance to win some goodies and perks. "Each week we'll pick a different theme, which you'll be able to check out on our Twitter and Instagram pages. If you submit a #SimSummer picture, you could get* some #SimSummer goodies, complete with a 'The Sims' 4 towel, sunglasses, water bottle, and lanyard," EA continued in the same website.

All photos that were streamed via the #SimSummer hashtag will be compiled by the game developer. These #SimSummer photos will be sourced from various social networking websites. As part of the competition rule, EA says that each week there will be a different theme and gamers should regularly check EA's social media accounts for details.

Master Herald noted that a recent update in "The Sims 4" video game will allow players to use a new tool called Custom Room Tool, which was reportedly under the Empty Rooms Sort in the video game's Build Mode. Using the Custom Room Tool enables each gamer to draw their own room shapes accordingly.
