'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7 Spoilers: New Vampire Valerie Introduced; First Same Sex Couple Nora & Mary Louise Teased

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will introduce three new characters that the creators hope could make up for Nina Dobrev's recent exit.

According to TV Line, all three new characters that will be introduced are vampires. The first one, Valerie, was turned into one when she was in her 20s. Valerie will meet a man that will make her feel alive again and there are rumors Valerie will do everything she can to keep him close.

Additionally, the creators of "The Vampire Diaries" have decided to introduce the first ever same-sex couple in the series. Nora and Mary Louise were both turned into vampires when they were also in their 20s. Throughout the past centuries, the couple have kept their relationship a secret.

Meanwhile, according to Cross Map, two new couples will also be introduced in the upcoming seventh installment of the CW series. First, Bonnie and Damon may end up together now that the latter is at a loss following Elena's death. While he is going through the most difficult time of his life, Damon will lean on Bonnie, who will then give him all the support he needs.

Stefan and Caroline's relationship may also take center stage in the upcoming season. There are reports that Stefan will finally consider taking his relationship with Caroline to the next level.

In Season 6, Caroline has always been vocal about her feelings for Stefan. However, the latter has always set his eyes on Elena. However, Caroline and Stefan's possible union will also be met with major challenges.

Meanwhile, "The Vampire Diaries" executive producer Caroline Dries previously confirmed that Caroline will somewhat become the new lead in the series now that Elena is no longer around. The title could not be given to Bonnie because the character is portrayed as a witch and not a vampire in the series.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will premiere on the CW this October.
