Rumors have it that Rihanna, even after almost two years since her breakup with Chris Brown, is still in love with the "Forever" singer. A report from the International Business Times (IBT) quoted a source revealing that soccer star Karim Benzema decided to stop pursuing Rihanna after he saw how her face lit up when Brown was singing on stage during the BET awards.
The source reportedly said that Benzema realized that he wouldn't be able to compete with Brown and that he and Rihanna are better off as friends. This is despite the fact that the "BBHMM" singer actually likes Karim, the report said.
Karim reportedly noted the way Rihanna looked at Brown who, on the other hand, also looked at Rihanna. In fact, according to the report, when Brown saw Rihanna bouncing to "Post To Be," he wanted to bring her ex-girlfriend on stage but didn't because he did not want to put her on the spot.
Karim, who initially did not want Rihanna to go to the event, was reportedly jealous upon seeing her dance and sing along to Brown's music.
As for Brown, he recently split up with Karrueche Tran, fueling speculations that he and Rihanna could possibly be together again especially after the "We Found Love" singer defended the "Look at Me Now" hit maker by calling Tran "tacky and childish" for using social media against Brown.
In a separate report of IBT, Karrueche reportedly told Rihanna that she can have Brown and the headaches that come with it. Reportedly, Brown made numerous attempts to win back Tran but he only had the same amount of rejections from the hip hop model.
Rihanna and Brown split up in 2013 because the latter was reportedly not ready to take their relationship to the next level after she mentioned about starting a family with him one day. That was their second breakup after their nasty split in 2009 when Rihanna was beaten up by the singer.
