Sam Worthington Net Worth: 'Avatar' Star Sells North Shore Estate For $4.2M

After months of being in the market, Sam Worthington's North Shore estate has been sold for $4.2 million. Located in in Kealia Makai, Hawaii, the estate has a plantation style and sits on more than five acres of lot and an additional six-acre vacant land.

According to LA Times, the 4,352-square-foot mansion was designed by Charles W. Dickey and was completed by 2008. The open area interior features unobstructed views of the ocean and mountains.

The interior features wooden floors, a kitchen with breakfast bar and living and dining areas. The estate also has a total of three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. Between the two master suites, there is a wood lanai with an outdoor shower.

Outside, there's a swimming pool and a sun deck. There is also a motor court and a detached garage at the entrance of the home.

According to public records, Worthington purchased the estate for $4.7 million and the vacant lot for $1.4 million back in 2011. According to Biz Journal, the mansion was listed on the market for more or less two months now, while the vacant land was listed on the market for a year.

The Australian actor is best known for his lead role in the award-winning film "Avatar," where he played the role of Jake Sully. He also starred in different action films like "Terminator Salvation," where he played Marcus Wright, and in "Clash of the Titans," where he played Perseus. He is also the voice behind the character of Captain Alex Mason in the popular video game series, "Call Of Duty: Black Ops."

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Worthington has an estimated net worth of $12 million. He earned an acting award from the Australian Film Institute in 2004 for Best Actor for his work in the film "Somersault."
