The pilot episode of MTV's "Scream Queens" is yet to be aired this September, but creator Ryan Murphy already revealed who might be included for the Season 2 of the show. According to Hollywood Reporter, Murphy revealed that Season 1 of "Scream Queens" will only have four characters left. Murphy told the reporters that the four surviving characters will be in a "new horror genre" in Season 2.
Murphy directed the first hour of the two-hour premiere of the show, and his co-creator Brad Falchuk was the director for the second part. Murphy said that "Scream Queens" will be similar with his other horror show, "American Horror Story," which has different themes every season. He emphasized that the main difference is that the four surviving characters from Season 1 will continue to play the same characters in Season 2.
"Scream Queens" is set on a college campus that is disturbed by a series of gruesome murders. Murphy said that in the first episode, the viewers will meet the killer and a big clue on who it is will be dropped. According to Christian Today, Murphy described "Scream Queens" as something like "American Horror Story" with a twist.
Skyler Samuels plays Grace Gardner, who will team up with Pete (Diego Boneta), the campus newspaper editor, to explore the horrific murders that will take place in the first hour of the show. They will try to find out who the Red Devil killer is.
"Scream Queens" stars Emma Roberts as Chanel Oberlin and Jamie Lee Curtis as Cathy Munsch. Other stars set to appear in the show include Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Ariana Grande, Nasim Pedrad, Oliver Hudson, Keke Palmer, Niecy Nash, Nick Jonas and Billie Lourd.
"Scream Queens" Season 1 is set to premiere on September 22 at 8 p.m. and will move to its regular slot at 9 p.m. the following week.
