Exciting news for fans of the hugely popular space epic "Star Wars," the upcoming Marvel comic book issue "Star Wars #7" will feature a flashback of Obi-Wan Kenobi's life, specifically his time on exile at Tatooine.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of the key characters in the Star Wars universe. He mentored both Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker, fought in the Clone Wars, and went on a self-exile in Tatooine. Not much is know about the Jedi Master particularly on how he became the desert hermit Ben Kenobi. Marvel Comics' upcoming "Star Wars #7" will be telling that story.
The last issue of the Star Wars comics saw Luke Skywalker travelling back to his home planet Tatooine, to retrieve his deceased mentor's memoir, the "Journals of Ben Kenobi." According to Star Wars Underworld, the contents of the journal will be the basis of "Star Wars #7," as a flashback story. Marvel has shared that the story will involve Obi-Wan Kenobi's harrowing accounts of life in Tatooine, during a time when "injustice reigned" on the planet. The Star Wars comic's teaser further states that "only a Jedi Master stands any hope of liberating the planet from the grasp of gangs, thieves and thugs. But would Ben risk everything to do what was right? Even if it meant revealing himself to those searching for his whereabouts?"
This presents an interesting addition to the Star Wars universe. Following The Nerd even revealed a preview from the upcoming "Star Wars #7" issue which features four pages from the book, including a few snaps of the comic's cover. This will also be a special issue, with guest artist Simone Bianchi doing the comic's art and famous writer Jason Aaron penning the story.
Obi-Wan Kenobi's story on "Star Wars #7" will be available on July 29.
