In a report from Heroic Hollywood, there is a rumor that Rachel McAdams has been offered to play the lead female role in the upcoming movie "Doctor Strange." Although there are no details regarding the character of Rachel McAdams, Screen Crush assumed that she will take the character of Clea or Morgana Blessing, both are love interests of Doctor Strange.
In the article from Comicbook, Clea is described as a courageous daughter of Umar and the niece of Dormammu which eventually becomes the wife of Doctor Strange. On the other hand, Screenrant mentioned that Morgana Blessing is a writer who becomes a friend and lover of Doctor Strange.
In the article from E! Online, a press interview last 2008 from the movie "Married Life," Rachel McAdams said, "I love that, to be a part of something that surprises the audience and makes you wonder about the way films are made. So it would be nice to be involved with something where film is being experimented with in and of itself. How the stories are being told is being manipulated."
"I also love fantasy. I love graphic novels. I'm so excited that people are into that and I think they make a great leap to the screen. So something very fantastical...I love dressing up and playing people that aren't the people you see drinking your morning coffee," she added.
In the report from Cinemablend, "Doctor Strange" is in pre-production. Benedict Cumberbatch will portray as Doctor Strange, Tilda Swinton will portray as the Ancient One and Chiwetel Ejifor will portray as Baron Mordo.
In the meantime, the article from Cinemablend added that Rachel McAdams can be seen in the TV Series "True Detective" as Detective Ani Bezzerides. She was also seen in the movie "Aloha" and she will have another movie entitled "Southpaw" that will be released on July 24.
There are no reports if Rachel McAdams will accept the role or not and if the rumor is true or not. "Doctor Strange" will be in theaters on November 4, 2016.
