Looks like Darren McFadden is much into leaving these days. After seven seasons with Oakland Raiders, the American football running back left the team and joined Dallas Cowboys as a free agent this March. And looks like he is also leaving his Oklahoma home as he recently listed it for $2.3 million, Los Angeles Times reports.
Devang Parikh of Sotheby's International Realty is listing the Mediterranean-style home that was built in 2007. The half an acre gated property that sits above the Leona Canyon Regional Open Space Preserve boasts a stunning view of the city and the ocean that is sure to capture prospected buyers' interests.
The NFL player, who is not going to make that much money from this sale, reportedly acquired this property during his rookie season with the Raiders for $2.15 million in 2008, just slightly below his current asking price.
McFadden, who was selected fourth overall by his then team in the 2008 National Football League, enjoyed 5,239 square feet of living space which was surely made useful for after game parties.
The five-bedroom and four-and-a-half-bathroom mansion also features a double-height entry, formal living and dining rooms, and an eat-in kitchen. The next owner would also love the master suite which offers a private balcony, a soaking tub and a fireplace, and of course, some good amount of bragging rights if they happen to be huge NFL fans.
Throwing parties shouldn't be a problem as the property's outdoors just have the right features for entertaining: landscaped grounds include a covered patio, an expanse of grass, and a swimming pool with a spa.
The 27-year-old tailback, who's been dogged by injury his entire career, is expected to bank $5.85 million for his next two seasons with Dallas Cowboys. He played 16 games with the Raiders last season at 534 yards and making 12 starts. His playing history covers 4,247 yards on the ground and 25 rushing touchdowns in seven NFL seasons.
