Belgian martial artist, actor, and director and known for his martial arts action films Jean-Claude Van Damme or JCVD is letting go of his trophy home in Marina Del Rey for $9.99 million, Los Angeles Times reports.
The 7,500 square feet property sits on a canal and boasts both cityscape and ocean views. In a report by The Daily Mail, this luxury mega mansion was acquired fully furnished in 2013 for $6 million. That calculates to almost a $4 million win for the Universal Solider actor.
Located in the Silver Strand neighborhood, the four storey contemporary home has six bedrooms, eleven bathrooms, and spans 7,574 square feet.
So just how luxurious is JCVD's mansion by the sea? There is a 3D theater with a HiFi wireless home music Sono system, a bar, a billiard room, a gym and recreation room and a library. And if that's not enough, add to that a commercial elevator for a modern touch.
How about the master suite? You get both his and hers bath and a steam shower that most mega mansions usually have.
While other properties boast having three to five fireplaces, JCDV has eight of that in total on top of a rooftop with organic garden, a swimjet hydro spa, fire pits, waterfalls, which offers a 360-degree vista of the surrounding view. Is that a house or a resort?
JCVD, now 54, is a kickboxer and bodybuilder and he will be putting those skills to good use in his upcoming new movie "Kickboxer: Vengeance" that is set to be realesed next year; the movie is a sequel of his 1989 movie "Kickboxer". Most of his most notable roles were from the movies "Until Death" (2007), "Double Impact" (1991), "Bloodsport" (1988), "Kickboxer" (1989), "Universal Soldier" (1992), "Hard Target" (1993), "Street Fighter" (1994), "Timecop" (1994), "Suddent Death" (1995), "JCVD" (2008), and "The Expendables 2" (2012).
The property is being listed by Shaun Hurley of First Team Real Estate.
