Film maker Brian Grazer has a stellar reputation in the matter of producing motion pictures. The movies that he's created made over $13 billion in the cinematic world, they've likewise been selected for 43 Academy Awards, and "A Beautiful Mind" earned him his one-of-a-kind enormous sparkly Oscar for Best Picture in 2002. Be that as it may, there's one film that Brian Grazer regrets making, "Cowboys & Aliens".
According to Cinemablend, Grazer conceded that he knew from the start that he shouldn't have been included in the production, yet he was enticed by the cast and talent included. In an interview he said that he was not a big fan of cowboys or aliens. But the stars involved in the movie, which includes, Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, Jon Favreau pushed him to say yes. He also recalled a meeting, with the stalwarts, discussing about the working title that eventually became the film's title "Cowboys and Aliens". He strongly opposed the title but gave in eventually.
The film proved Grazer right about his guts. It received a very bad review from the movie experts and failed miserable to profit. To make things worse, during opening day, it only earned a couple that landed the film a slot short of the then cinematic adaptation of the 1980s cartoon "The Smurfs". Nothing against "The Smurfs", but considering the talents and the brains behind the movie, it is expected to bring a lot more in the table than it actually did.
"Cowboys and Aliens" only earned a total of $174 million which is just a stone throw away from its budget of $163 million.
The super producer is the man behind the success of the movies "A Beautiful Mind", "Arrested Development" and "The Da Vinci Code", to name a few. According to Vanity Fair, Grazer and Howard had been teaming up since the early 90s and after a couple of movies with Howard; Graze was slowly making a name in the industry. Grazer is known to downplay his stature as the most sought after producer in the film industry by wearing simple and plain clothes and a very hard to miss hairstyle.
