Rumor has it that Square Enix's "Final Fantasy XV" is gearing up for a PC version of the video game. This is after a "Final Fantasy XV" gameplay was apparently leaked in Microsoft Windows 10 platform. Earlier, the company has revealed plans that it is indeed working on "Final Fantasy XV" but has not yet announced a PC version of the video game, Master Herald reported on Tuesday.
As Techtimes noted, the leaked demo PC version of "Final Fantasy XV" was reportedly carrying the title "Witch-Chapter 0," which will run under Microsoft Windows 10 operating system using the DirectX 12 engine. The report indicated previously that Square Enix's "Final Fantasy XV" will be available for Xbox One and PS4. Since the company has not announced that the video game will have a PC version, this reportedly prompted global gamers to petition Square Enix to develop "Final Fantasy XV" for PC, according to Master Herald.
France Herald reported that the online petition was created via Change.org to call the attention of Hajime Tabata, "Final Fantasy" director, to consider developing the video game's version for PC, which global fans have described as a "well-loved game."
"It's been a long time since we have seen a 'Final Fantasy' game on the PC. With this petition, us PC gamers hope that Square Enix will have a good reason to revive 'Final Fantasy' on PC since it is being developed on PC with DirectX 11," as stated in the Change.org petition.
As of posting, the "Release Final Fantasy XV For PC Platform" petition has gathered more than 13,000 signatures. The online petition was also flooded with statements of support coming from fans, gaming enthusiasts and others in a bid for Square Enix to eventually consider developing the video game.
Master Herald reported that Square Enix will likely announce the "Final Fantasy XV" official release date during the Gamescom 2015, which will be held at Cologne, Germany from August 5 to 9. Although Square Enix is still tight-lipped on the rumors, avid fans of the "Final Fantas"y video game are expecting that it will be released at the end of the year.
