HTC Aero Release Date, Specs: The “Hero Phone” To Finally Have a Better Display than the M9

The upcoming HTC smartphone called the HTC Aero has been making waves lately and it has already been hailed as the "hero phone". After the disappointing HTC M9 sales, the HTC Aero is expected to feature more impressive specs. One new report claims that the smartphone will boast a major feature that was unfortunately a disappointment for the M9 - its display.

As reported by HTC Vietnam, HTC Aero specs will finally feature a 1440 x 2560 Quad HD display that comes with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4. As compared to the previous HTC M9, it's definitely a big step from the 1080p screen but somehow still could not compete with LG G4 nor the Samsung Galaxy S6 display.

The 2.5D screen would mean that Aero's glass around the edges will curve slightly which will be somewhat similar to the Galaxy S6 or the iPhone6 design.

Last week it was also revealed that HTC would be releasing a groundbreaking camera for HTC Aero. The camera would feature an f/1.9 aperture which would be great for low light shots. Additionally, users will now be able to store RAW images on their devices.

Now if the display and camera features are indeed to be true, then the HTC Aero could certainly surpass the M9.

As reported by Techradar, the M9 was unable to meet expectations which contributed to the "disappointing financial performance from HTC". But of course, the company won't give up that easily as they confirmed of HTC Aero's release this year which could help boost the company's fortunes.

The HTC Aero is expected to be launched in October.
