After eight successful seasons, "Doctor Who" fans are now craving some updates on Season 9.
"Doctor Who" first debuted back in 1963 and was a British science fiction television show produced by BBC. In a recent interview, with Peter Capaldi, who plays "the doctor" in the current show, tried to answer some of the questions to give fans idea on what to expect from Season 9.
According to Capaldi, he has a newfound hunger for adventure and he is enjoying every part of what he is doing for the show. He also added that in Season 9, his character will be in a pursuit of grabbing every thrill he can get and he may be running from something he still does not understand yet.
Ecumenical News reported that Capaldi also confirmed in his interview that Jenna Coleman will reprise her role as Clara in Season 9. He also added that his relationship with Clara will blossom in the new season. He also praised Coleman's performance in the show and called her "one of the best companions ever."
No set date has been released for the airing of "Doctor Who" Season 9's pilot episode. However, the show is slated to be released in autumn of this year.
Radio Times also revealed that the Season 9 finale will be completely different this time. According to the show's finale director Rachel Talalay, the finale episode was one of the most complicated episodes she has ever done.
