Apple on Wednesday has reportedly released the third beta of Apple iOS 9 to developers. A recent report noted that the iOS beta 3 update was by far the biggest update to the Apple's new mobile operating system. The iOS 9 beta update brings new major features like the Music app, Selfie folder and others, a report from Macrumors said.
The recent beta update in the iOS 9 added a newly revamped Music app, which allowed testers to access Apple Music, Beats 1 radio and Apple Music Content. Another addition is the News app, which was presented during the WWDC 2015. The app offers a curated list of contents or stories based on the selected preferences and interests of the user. Apple's News app also displays different specific channels including topics that support additional RSS feeds from Apple's native browser, Safari. According to Macrumors, the News app is only available for U.S. smartphone users as of the moment.
Another feature included in the iOS Beta 3 is the two-factor authentication system, which Apple claims is more streamlined.
Additionally, there's also the App folders on iPad, which reportedly displays all mobile applications in a 4x4 arrangement. The new arrangement will allow Apple users to see more apps that are installed on the Apple device.
A related report from 9to5Mac said that the iOS beta 3 update is available to Apple users through the developer portal on the Web as well as OTA rollout. To access Apple Music, users would reportedly need a new seed for the beta.
