'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' Beta Update: Title Will Be Rolled Out This August

Game developer Treyarch Studios has recently announced that the beta update of the "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" video game will commence this coming August 19. The "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" beta update will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC gaming platforms, IGN reported on Thursday.

The announcement was made on Wednesday on Treyarch Studios' Twitter account. "We're excited to announce that the #BlackOps3 Multiplayer Beta will begin on 8/19 starting on PS4. More information coming soon!," wrote Treyarch Studios. The post has apparently sparked excitement from gamers as they can eventually play the future of the cyborg death matches with less than a month from now.

According to Gamesradar, it can be recalled that Activision and Treyarch have earlier revealed during the recently concluded E3 2015 that the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" beta will be developed for Xbox and PlayStation gaming console platforms. The report noted that the beta timing reportedly reflects that new allegiance, although players using the Xbox One and PC platforms will be able to join the beta.

It added that "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" beta will not be available for PS3 and Xbox 360. The report pointed out that gamers can play the multi-player beta by placing a pre-order of the game.

A related report from Gamespot noted that "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will be released first for PS4 as part of Activision's new deal with Sony. The reported agreement between Activision and Sony said that all "Black Ops III" DLC will be launched first on PlayStation platforms.

Meanwhile, Gamerant said that players can pre-order the video game in different versions such as physical, digital, and digital deluxe. According to Playstationlifestyle.net, "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" is a multiplayer beta designed for four-player coop or solo play.
